Every year our family goes to Sea World Orlando. Grandma Shirley and PopPop met us there and spend the day hanging out with us. Every year the kids know that the closer it gets to summer, the closer our trip to Sea World gets.
Over the last six years, our Sea World trips have been scattered throughout the year, especially the year we had a pass. We have gone in April, May, June, July, October and December. We have decided that the best time to go is in early June. The Northern folk aren’t done with school and summer programs haven’t started field trips yet. Early is mostly locals. The lines aren’t too long, the park isn’t too packed with people and the heat hasn’t begun to drive us crazy.
Over the years, each of us has found a favorite show or ride we like to make sure we do on each trip. I love the Blue Horizons dolphin and bird show. Lizzie loved the Clyde and Seamore Pirate show until they changed it. Evelyn likes to see the penguins. We all like the shark exhibit.
This year I was excited to take Casey to Sea World. One of his favorite words is “fsh” and I couldn’t wait to see the look on his face when we went into the different aquariums. If the fish section at Walmart gets a smile on his face, this should be ten times better.
The Sea World trip did not disappoint this year. We spent precious time together as a family. Everyone got to do something they like to do. Lizzie discovered she loves roller coasters while riding the Shamu kid roller coaster but Will decided that the same ride was too fast.
We took necessary pictures in some of our favorite places and a few new ones as well. I have a picture of all four of my kids in the same place at Sea World all around the same age. This was the year to add Casey’s picture to the mix.
I hope we continue this tradition for many more years. The kids love going they are busy creating their own memories.
Until next year Sea World!
